Adaptive sports, participation and trying new opportunities.
Roger D. Sack VP/Sports Director Adaptive Sports are some of the best ways to get fit, fight PTS, social anxiety, physical and mental endurance. We need to move away from the “I used too…” mentality and allow ourselves to revisit and try new things. Many of our veterans in Central Florida Chapter PVA can attest to this. Some have fallen in love with fishing, hunting, Air Rifle and Pistol, Archery Bowling and the list goes on. Once the got over what they thought they couldn’t do, soon became a passion for opportunities in their future. Through adaptive sports, friendships are created, teams grow stronger, families do more things together. Take time to allow something new to challenge you. Go to an event you have never gone too and give it a try. You may have found a new passion to fall in love with. But with some new friends. Chapter Sports grow through providing opportunities and encourage participation. Patience, creativity, along with partnerships and persistence will go a long way.
