Turning donated equipment into independence.
PVACF’s Repurposed Equipment Exchange Program collects and redistributes durable medical equipment to people who need it. The 2024/2025 annual report records $759,534.50 in equipment distributed during the year and more than $2.75 million distributed since the program began in 2015.

Impact beyond the balance sheet.
Financial stewardship matters because it sustains the programs, access and community connections that members actually use.
Competition, recreation and connection
The chapter secured a $15,000 commitment from Florida Adaptive Sports to help expand sports and recreation opportunities, while continuing to support members participating in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.
A voice where decisions are made
PVACF leadership regularly represents members in Washington, D.C. and across Florida, advocating for specialized SCI/D care, benefits, accessibility and legislation affecting veterans and their families.
More than 1,000 hours of service
The 2024/2025 annual report credits more than 100 volunteers with over 1,000 hours of service — valued at approximately $33,000 — supporting programs, events, equipment operations and chapter activities.
Investment that builds capacity.
A new warehouse was completed to house donated equipment, the chapter van and box truck, expanding REEP capacity.
The 12th Annual Jerry Dugan Memorial Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $81,000 to support chapter programs and Wheelchair Games participation.
Central Florida is preparing to host the National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Orlando in July 2027, creating a major opportunity for local member participation.
